On December 12th, Comissao Tecnica Nacional de Biossegurança (a commission similar to the Ministry of Science and Technology) will approve the commercial release of GM corn in Brazil.
If it is allowed to go ahead, GM corn crops could contaminate non-GM crops and cross international borders, leading to GM contamination in neighbouring countries.
Please send your emails to President Lula da Silva by 9th December,asking him not to approve the introduction of GM corn in Brazil, using the form on our website at:
