1.Genetically modified maize rejected The continuing dumping of unwanted GM surpluses as food aid (item 1) is unforgivable. During the last crisis in southern Africa the EU Trade Commissioner openly charged the US with using its foreign aid programme as a means to "dispose of its genetically modified crop surpluses". He pointed out that, "GM-free supplies are available in surplus in southern Africa."
